The Stewart Branch, LLC, doing business as The Olive Branch, wants everyone to be able to use olivebranchwaco.com: to read our menus, see what is happening this week, reserve a seat at an event, plan a catering order, and shop.

 

Our standard

This website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We checked every page against that standard in October 2026 and fixed what we found.

 

What that means on this site

  • Every photo has a text description that a screen reader can read aloud.

  • Headings are in order on every page, so you can move from section to section.

  • Text and background colors meet the AA contrast minimum, including on our green and sage bands.

  • You can use the whole site with a keyboard: the menus, the menu picker, the photo viewer (Enter opens it, Escape closes it), events, the catering form and the shop. Keyboard users get a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link at the top of each page.

  • Pages with a photo gallery have a “View photos” button for keyboard users that opens the same photo viewer.

  • The site works at 200% zoom and on phone screens without side-scrolling.

  • Our menus are real text, not pictures, so they can be read aloud, enlarged and translated.

  • Nothing flashes or plays on its own. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site follows that setting.

 

Parts we don’t fully control

  • Some pieces are built by Wix, the company that hosts our site: the shop, the checkout, event tickets and the catering form. We have set them up to work with a keyboard and screen reader, and we report problems to Wix when we find them. Wix publishes its own accessibility statement.

  • Grubhub (ordering), inKind (rewards), Instagram and Facebook are run by other companies on their own sites. We link to them, but we don’t control how accessible they are.

  • Event flyers are pictures. Every event’s date, time, price and details are also written out as text on its event page.

How we check

We test with automated tools (axe) and by hand: keyboard only, 200% zoom, a 320-pixel-wide phone screen, and a check of what screen readers announce for every button, link and photo. We check again whenever we change the design or add a new kind of page.
